On YouTube, you can play/pause as well as navigate videos inside a playlist using the keyboard-native media control keys when using a modern browser (i.e. FireFox or Chrome-based), even when the tab or the browser window itself are not in focus. I'm not sure off-hand which API needs to be addressed here to make this possible, but I would very much like to also be able to use my system-global media keys to control music playing via musicdex. The same probably also applies to holodex, but I personally don't use that.
