If you need to make about 50,000 replacements on a spreadsheet, it takes several minutes. The requested feature is that it will only take a few seconds.

How faster will this run in MS Excel or other program?

I suppose mentioning your environment would help here as well. Like your CPU, RAM, OS.
I'm recalling years ago Intel was boasting that on their CPUs certain spreadsheets were processed within seconds while on AMD CPUs it took many minutes. Woo knows, could it be the same case? 😄

In my job I use large spreadsheets very frequently and I have done several tests with very similar files in both MS Excel and LibreOffice Calc, on the same PC (AMD Ryzen 5, 16 GB RAM) and in both it takes 5 to 10 seconds, but in OnlyOffice the same search and replace process takes about 3 to 5 minutes. At first I thought it was a bug, but if you wait patiently, it ends fine not reporting any error.

I can confirm, this is the bug number 46893. When some fixes will be done we'll text you here in this issue.

And we're moving this issue to DocumentServer repo, since it's our base product and problem actual there too.
