Bringing discussion on this one back. Talked to Katherine, explained how people can already hide their data from Yale Face Book. She, however, suggested a Yalies-managed way to hide data from Yalies. |
I think, if we do this, we should not bother persisting this information long-term, rather we can just remove it from the current version of the database and clarify that if they want to have it gone long-term they need to also remove it from the Face Book/Directory. That way we don't need to hold on to a bunch of data about what students have removed what from the directory. |

Comms team is preparing for the wave of "please remove me" emails. Is there an automated way to remove students / something on the front-end they can use versus back-and-forth email?
