Currently 2ec60fa adds basic installation facilities though we don't knwo if it's valid for all Linux systems. Also windows and OSX would be different.

need to check how gedit plugins are generally installed.

Don't concentrate on windows, no one uses gedit there anyway^^
If we want to have support for an editor inside windows this should be notepad++^^

I think sublime and atom are more popular amongst developers in windows. But point noted :)
