Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Right now, the onboarding process requires you to understand that you need a "coderoad" workspace/tutorial to be able to start a tutorial.

  • Installed coderoad
  • "CodeRoad:Start"
  • "Oops! No workspace"
  • Open random workspace, and click on Start a Tutorial
  • Asks for empty workspace.

Describe the solution you'd like
I'd like to see more improvements on onboarding text so that it's clear what's expected

Describe alternatives you've considered

  • Maybe a bootstrapped tutorial?
  • Quickstart tutorial?

Definitely an issue. I'll spend some time on improving the workflow.

The goal is to have a one-click launchable tutorial on a users computer or in a browser VM.

Hello! This looks like a really cool platform. I tried VSCode several years ago and there was a built-in interactive tutorial which I was hoping to use. Alas, it seems it was removed so I came across CodeRoad. However, I'm stuck. I installed the extension and did the CodeRoad: Start but there are only two tutorials showing (NPM and Basic Node). My first thought was to look for something like "CodeRoad: Load Tutorial". But that didn't work. Then I went back to the main page but again, there were no instructions beyond CodeRoad: Start (which I've done). I looked for a forum but couldn't find one so here I am offering my newbie experience😊

I really like the concept that developers can use this platform to easily help others learn but agree with this issue that there needs to be a few more breadcrumbs to allow the new user to load a tutorial that they are interested in.
