There's a Dance.js this coming Friday (Sep 25th), we're trying out a new venue which I'm excited about: it has an on-site audio system which simplifies setup, and it's much cheaper than the other venues we've used in the past.

I put together a rough schedule which I've shared in Slack, and have assigned roles to some people:

  • @othiym23 will be audio engineer.
  • @emilyrose and @jameswomack will be helping with lighting, video, and other ambiance related stuff.
  • We'll need some people to work the door for part of the night, and greet people (perhaps myself, and @emilyrose can help with this a bit, also @ceejbot?).
  • A bartender would be great to help keep the alcohol consumption classy (perhaps @gsilk for part of the night, I'd be willing to do it for a bit).
  • It would be great if @jameswomack could take some photographs of the event (when not playing your set).

Other than that, it would be wonderful if people could put the word out as much as possible this week -- we still have quite a few tickets to sell.

@bcoe Thanks for putting this together -- I'm more than happy to bartend. I'll also be there for setup and any other odd jobs that need doing

@bcoe RE: 📷 I'll be happy to bring my DSLR with a couple lenses. RE: 💡 📹 I remember there being some quality lighting at the joint. Do I need to bring anything else? My DSLR doubles as a good video camera as well.
