Well, I think it's better to check the pricing page anyway, even if we never want to pay for the job. because lots of companies are doing that and not just to bait. some of them provide self-hosted service which often will be written on the pricing page. or a great free plan for personal projects or maybe even a bait just like this :) so checking that page is a mercy to ourselves |

Alright, maybe some will laugh at me, and others will criticize me, but I fell for the "pricing" bait, and unfortunately, it was almost "fatal".
So, a while back, I decided to look for an ORM solution for a new Node.js project I was working on as part of my studies. I came across all the famous solutions and started testing them one by one. Drizzle, however, I spotted but dismissed right away: at the top of the homepage, there was already a tab labeled "pricing," and I was on the hunt for free solutions.
Consequently, I completely ruled it out and tried five other free solutions I found. Unfortunately, none of them quite fit my style and project needs. So I decided to search for more free solutions and heard about Drizzle again. Hey...
That's when I revisited the website and decided to understand what was actually "paid" within it and what the "free" version they talked about would give me in return for the paid version.
That's when I realized I had fallen for some bait. You guys are good, my buddies!
So, after taking the time to figure it all out, I realized that Drizzle is, in fact, a project that's very compatible with what I need and covers 99%+ of my requirements. Believe it or not, I even considered the possibility of creating my own ORM (and I went as far as building my own MariaDB driver from scratch because of it).
In conclusion, if you'll allow me a suggestion... keep the bait, but maybe try to be a bit more discreet about it. Who knows, maybe others gave up for the same reason: just too lazy to take a quick peek at the prices (which didn't even exist).
