I want to start by saying sorry If I missed something related to how you're able to use the types.
Lets give an example pseudocode schema:
Basically there are alot of cases where I would need the actual type of what a query would return and this feature would allow me to not have to do hacky stuff in some cases.
There could also be a
With
that is deeply partial instead for example.I am also sure everyone would probably appreciate having access to such types. Maybe there's an easier way of solving this with the select (
$inferInsert
) types and building such types yourself, but I think if you can build the types yourself maybe there is a way to build these generics and expose them from drizzle instead.I don't know the typescript implication of such a feature or if it would even be possible with what you currently have set up for drizzle's inner workings. This might be impossible (or a waste of time) but I wanted to suggest it anyways.
I have checked both of these discussions out but I still think there might be a way to achieve this and it's worth discussing because of the ease-of-use aspect. Might be wrong though.
