Looks like this affects 7.10 and later. We don't typically backport changes that far, but let me know if you think it's warranted here.

@dedemorton Based on the PR that I shared, this change was introduced in the v7.13.0 and v8.0.0 versions (comment to verify it), so I don't think it will affect 7.10 documents.
