Collection of existing training initiatives

This proposal should generate a lot of training material and advice. That material should be contributed to an existing education effort. This issue collects those:

• software carpentry
• data carpentry
• Mozilla Study Groups

The Software Carpentry 'discuss' list could be used to recruit potential additional collaborators/interested folk. Shall I post the pitch to it? Many are open science supporters, all are github capable.

Note that I am a Software Carpentry affiliate, and on the Advisory Board as well.

Should we wait until we have a good proposal as well? Just wondering if we need more voices trying to converge on a proposal or rather people to help us build all the stuff. I think the latter.
