I wonder if this is really our responsibility, the wallet address is public so operators could use any existing tooling for this. Whether this tooling exists is another question 🤔

My two cents:

Since we are targeting non-technical users who are almost certainly not aware of tax regulations related to crypto, we should take the responsibility to educate them and make it super easy for them to do the right thing. (Fill the taxes, don't evade them.)

I am imagining a page (or an FAQ entry) explaining that:

  1. In many countries, tokens earned by running the Station are considered as a taxable income.
  2. It is their responsibility to learn about the tax law in their country and how it applies to them.
  3. Here is the tool/Station UI/guide they can use to obtain the list of transactions (rewards received)
  4. Here is the tool/Station UI/guide they can use to find the token price at the transaction time. Caveat: different countries have different rules for calculating this price.
  5. The information here is not considered a law or tax advice.

Adding a menu bar entry for exporting smart contract earnings as csv is a little amount of work, I would volunteer for that if we decide to go in this direction
