After completing a map, there should be a pause before the rings flash to allow "consolidation", i.e. make it clear to the player what the state of the cues was when they got to the target. One option is to do the "flashing rings" briefly and then stop them and return to showing the cues, before moving on to the next map. Another option would be to somehow integrate the flashing with the cues: instead of the current random "rave party" we could flash on and off the configuration of the ring exactly as it was when you won. I'd sort of vote for at least trying that.
Flashing the ring while keeping the cues consistent might be really nice
Another option is to flash the ring, then switch back to normal ring, but start strobing to player to indicate teleportation and then move the player to a new location and have the player appear strobing to indicate the completion of teleportation
