Describe the bug
Software (on pi5) crashes after approximately 1min of running, when a Display via HDMI is connected.

HiFiBerryOS version
Why can I not copy the information from the "About" screen?! (using FireFox, or edge) This is BS!
Here we go anyway, typing from a screen-shot, what a sh...t!
20231219
Pi type: 5
Pi model: Raspberry Pi 5 Model B Rev 1.0
CPU temperature: 33.6°C
Compatibility: "no known problems"
Sound card: DAC+ DSP
Sound card ID: 0
Linux version: Linux hifiberry 6.1.63-v8 '#'1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Dec 19 15:42:04 UTC 2013 aarch64 GNU/Linux

HiFiBerry sound card
HiFi Berry DAC2 HD V1.2.1 01/20

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Flash HifiBerryOS 64 alpha 2 (https://github.com/hifiberry/hifiberry-os/releases/tag/64alpha2) to SD-Card
  2. put SD-Card in a Raspberry Pi 5
  3. Boot from said SD-Card
  4. observe Screen hooked up via HDMI on Pi
  5. See boot-messages flying over the screen
  6. at some point "Welcome to HiFiBerryOS" "hifiberry login:" is shown on screen
  7. do noting (in this time, you can access hifiberryOS via browser)
  8. after about one minute screen goes to vertical green stripes, system is crashed -> unresponsive -> Webinterface goes offline -> can't even ping the pi anymore

Expected behavior
System should run, till I power it down, even with Display plugged in.

Browser (if applicable)

  • OS: [any, does not matter]
  • Browser [edge, firefox]
  • Version [any]

Additional context
same behaviour even with unplugged HDMI-Display, unplugged DAC2 HD.
Made high-Speed Video of Boot-Screen, a split second before "Welcome to HiFiBerryOS" "hifiberry login:" is shown on screen, it says: [FAILED] Failed to start SigmaTCP Server for HiFiBerry DSP. See 'systemctl status sigmatcp.service' for details Starting Reconfigure players...
If no Display is connected, system seems keep running.

This should be fixed in the upcoming release with the correct graphics drivers.
