Doesnt seem to be deploying still but there's no error: https://travis-ci.org/hoodiehq/pouchdb-hoodie-api/jobs/76867881

Also does that hook run on each matrix entry?

Yes, looks like it. No idea how best to avoid that

That is super odd. I just run the commands locally, without issues, and it deployed to gh-pages. Mystery! :)
