I'd like to be able to input messages while off-line and have them send in the background, like WhatsApp/Signal/Hangouts.

Currently this kindof works for a small time (#8) if you transition from online to offline, when failed messages give you an option to re-deliver. But I'd like this to work whenever I am offline and for the failed messages to attempt resend until they are sent.
