Memory overuse: No deallocating space in RAM

Hi!
I've notice that when closing the tab that visualizes the pdf the RAM dedicated to it does not free itself.
The problem is furthermore enhanced by the fact that all the pdf is loaded (not only visualized pages), thus leading to a complete use of the RAM by opening few big documents or with long work session.
The only solution I have found so far is to completely close Atom after few documents are opened.

Is there something that can be done?
