Markdown and text tables improvements

The current Markdown and text tables look nice, but they could be nicer. Perhaps it would be nice to offer options to not include some information and make the tables less noisy (e.g. exact dates or the exact +/- data) or offer options to include some other data (e.g. what's the total difference instead of showing just the + and - separately).

Not really sure about this, but still wanted to create an issue to collect ideas. 💡
