Abstract: all of us, frontend-javascript-no-matter-what-exactly-developers live in the whole world tangled in web. The word "community" in this case first of all means GitHub users, HackerNews readers and so on. We recognise each over with username and avatar, we have our own rockstars - but virtual ones. Of course, I know, that it's the way web works, global space works and so on - but what about people in the neighbourhood?
I'd like to tell a story of building a local javascript enthusiast community in a city with quite small number of IT specialists and primary boring IT-outsourcing 9-to-5 firms, there people don't like to touch keyboard away from business hours. What could drive someone to try to shake the crowd and what to do, if this someone happend to be you - with first-hand experience and kittens (maybe).
