Turn the search dialog into an "omnibox" that not only searches, but can directly download notebooks from a URLs, gists, github repos into the local notebook server working directory. Greatly eases the simple sharing of notebooks. Even makes it possible across passwordless Jupyter Notebook instances (e.g., on a secure intranet) because of the content API.

This would be really nice, since I often post notebooks for teaching, and it is annoying that students first have to download them to a file and then upload them into the notebook dashboard. It would be much nicer if they could paste the URL directly into the dashboard somewhere.
