pass string variable into sparkmagic #750

hi,
I am trying to cycle through date variables as strings in jupyter hub and run a spark session for each date.

startdate
enddate
finaldate
while startdate != finaldate:
v_start = startdate
v_end = enddate
%run /path/to/notebook
startdate+=1
enddate +=1

notebook being run from the call above

%%spark
var start = $v_start
var end = $v_end
.....

This does not work. can't pass in those variables
