I have noticed that a couple of assignments are used in the constructor bodies.

Examples:

sax3/src/main.cxx

Line 51 in a83c60c

Init(){
sax3/src/monitors.cxx

Line 126 in e82cef9

Monitors::Monitors(){

The recommended way for performing efficient construction is to use the initialisation list.
