Brief

Writing code that generates code is hard. But by leveraging knowlege of how the V8 JavaScript engine optimizes code, we can use this technique to write extremely fast data parsers, schema validators etc. In this talk we’ll learn how to write code that would make a mad scientist jealous, pushes V8 to eleven and make Christopher Nolan consider a sequel to Inception.

Bio

Thomas is a member of the Node.js Tracing Working Group and a full time open source developer at Opbeat. He enjoys working on mad science projects with Node.js and implementing network protocols. If you see him at your local coffee shop you should definitely say hi.

👏👏👏👏 god yes, this talk! - having more parsers leverage code generation would be great (e.g. more parsers like is-my-json-valid).
