xemantic
My name is Kazik Pogoda and xemantic is a label I use for sharing my work. I'm a creative technologist working on immersive art installations, interactive projections, performances, operas, theaters, robots, online experiences. For all of them I write special code and most of it I also share as open source.
I've been writing code and building IT systems used by millions of human and non-human agents. But my primary background is actually in philosophy, and now I want to write software which is more "reflective" on our culture which evolves in symbiosis with digital machines. Sometimes I am writing reflections and narratives on Medium.
Check my instagram and vimeo for the artwork.
In my work I want to:
- evoke emotions with algorithms
- connect generative and performative arts
- share the code powering the show and teach my techniques
Thanks to your sponsorship I will have more time and motivation to contribute projects used by:
- π audience of all ages, as an immersive experience
- π§βπ¨ creatives, media artists, hopefully including you!
- π· creative technologists and coders
- π€ roboteers
- π¦ cultural institutions like theaters and museums
If you don't want to become a sponsor here, then maybe just link, because I don't like coffee.
Notable projects I am involved in
- shader-web-background - a tool for moving immersive experiences online
- we-are-the-robots - It's like Processing for creative robotics.
- Industria - a fully immersive seaborn Industrial Revolution experience onboard Illutron art boat in Copenhagen
- Dream World - a surreal immersive art collective providing experiences in Berlin
- Angels In America - An opera staged at UNI.T - Theatre of the Berlin University of the Arts

Selectπ an immersive space in Berlin
This is my dream, to build something like on the picture above in the middle of Berlin, a fully immersive venue set up with:
- projectors with mapping
- space sensors
- hardware
- custom software
Open to visitors, built on open technologies and inviting the whole community of media artists, like Creative Code Berlin, to use it for experimentation and for displaying our work. It could be used for performances, theater or concerts. Your contribution would help me make it happen.
