Hi @AbdulfataiAbdulwasiuaremu! We'd love to do what we can to help you get a meetup group started in Osun. Have you had a chance to check out our Getting Started Guide? https://events.vuejs.org/resources/#getting-started

Alright i will change it.
But how can i verify it that have gotten an approval. you know have already started it earlier that I'm a student and it doesn't easy to gather people on unapproved approved Meetup..
I believe this would be the first ever in my country if you really give me opportunity..

Cheers

@AbdulfataiAbdulwasiuaremu As far as approval goes, it's fairly simple. The first part would be to find a time and place to host the meetup. Then once it's ready to go, you would list it on your website so people could learn about it, and then we can add you to the site!

The important thing to remember with organizing meetups is that the number of people that attend is not relevant (especially early on). If you have 20 people RSVP to the event, and only 6 people show up, this is actually very normal and not a reflection on you as an organizer. Free events typically have low attendance rate as far as ratio of RSVPs go.

Finally, as someone who has run a few meetups, my advice to you is that the key to running a successful Meetup has more to do with the organizer's energy and passion rather than an official approval. And I only say this because when I started VueDC with my friend, Vue.js Events did not exist and we were figuring it out as we went along.

If you need any advice about organizing the meetup, please feel free to ask more questions!
