Broken Image Generated

I installed from App Store, version 2.6.0. And I tried to convert this screenshot to WebP:

The screenshot was taken with macOS Screenshot utility, saved straight to Desktop without editing. It was converted to this image here (zipped because GitHub doesn't like WebP).

I think the generated WebP is broken because when I tried to QuickLook it displays this:

It opens in an image editor like this:

And just to make sure it's not some components broken on my system I sent it to a friend to open it online in the first Google'd online WebP viewer on their computer. Still looks like this:

So I hate to say it but version 2.6.0 is not working, at least with some images.

BTW, macOS 10.15.6, no system level mod (SIP enabled). I do have other image preview and manipulation plugins and services installed but I doubt they interfere much.

Same problem here. I would like to add that this also happens when converting GIFs.

Just downloaded version 2.6.0 from App Store. I tried conversion of jpg and the result is also fuzzy like above examples.
I'm using Big Sur 11.1

Same issue here, Big Sur 11.1, MBP intel, tested today.
App downloaded from the mac app store, v. 2.6.0.

Tried changing the settings a bit, no improvement.

Left : original JPG image, right : converted webp.
