Possibly integration with http://travis.debian.net/ may be an answer for debian packages, or just finding a way to call debuild or whatever script. For RPM there is rpmbuild that should be straightforward.

The goal is to discover inconsistent packaging data right during Travised PRs, not later in a build farm.
