Hello @thomashenzjb 👋 That is caused by the default matching strategy. With query number (1), Meilisearch returns:
With query number (2), Meilisearch returns:
Chances are, there are more documents containing only michael than documents containing only tischler. If you want both queries to return the same hits, you can change the matching strategy to All, which will require that all words are contained in returned documents. However, I recommend you keep the default "last" matching strategy, as it generally provides higher relevancy (especially recall) |

Hi all,
we're searching 2 queries on the same data. However, there is a different hit count returned.
"michael tischler" -> 1485
"tischler michael" -> 677
Why would that happen? I would assume that the hit count should be equal and only the order is different.
Thanks a lot!
