Boost React App Performance with Microfrontends & Module Federation (Webpack How-To)

Hey React community! 👋

I'm exploring microfrontends as a way to tackle the growing complexity of our React application. As our team and codebase expand, we're running into challenges with:

• Slow build times: Our monolithic app takes forever to compile, slowing down development.
• Tight coupling: Changes in one part of the app often have unintended consequences elsewhere.
• Scaling bottlenecks: It's getting harder to scale specific features independently.

Microfrontends, combined with Webpack 5's Module Federation, seem like a promising solution. The idea of breaking down our app into smaller, independent modules that can be developed and deployed autonomously is very appealing.

What I'm hoping to achieve:

• Faster development cycles: Smaller codebases mean quicker builds and more focused development.
• Improved maintainability: Loosely coupled modules make it easier to isolate changes and reduce bugs.
• Scalability on demand: We can scale specific microfrontends as needed, without impacting the entire app.
