Question on setting up the project for development. #6767
-
I would like to take a look at contributing back to this project. So I have forked the project and tried to follow the Development directions (https://docs.paperless-ngx.com/development/) I have checked out the code and (I Think) have followed the directions correctly. However I get to step 6
I go into the src directory, and try to run python3 manage.py migrate and i get the following
I am unsure what I am doing wrong here. The only things that I found diffrent on my system vs the directions were that I needed to install pipenv
Other than that everything up to step 6 seems to have worked as expected. I also Checked my python version $ python3 --version
Python 3.10.12 Just as a note Thanks for any help |

Looks like you're missing tesseract at the very least. Everything required for a bare metal install, you need for development. |

Thank you, that was the problem, I was misunderstanding the directions I thought the second set of dependencies was only required if I wanted OCRmyPDF which I was reading as additional Functionality. Thank You! |
