English isn't my mother tongue but shouldn't "font tryout" rather be called "font test bed"? |

It's to try out fonts, hence the name. But I haven't given it much thought. Once could call it FontSampler, FontCarousel, FontTester or any number of things, I guess. Not attached to current name. |

😄 I've since learned that "tryout" is an actual English term - not just "try out" turned into an artificial noun. |

See if you like it. May not be a great example to teach how easy cpp is because of the pointer magic to accept both pointer types, but does let people test-drive fonts more easily.
