About me:

I am a tech enthusiast who practically grew up on a computer. I've been playing video games since I was 3 years old, starting with a ball mouse and CRT monitor. Those were the days of floppy disks - a true gaming journey through time!

My gaming obsession began with classic titles like Super Mario, Super Mario World games, Smash, Mario Kart, and Mario Party. Thanks to my older brother, I was introduced to a wide range of games, I would watch him play things like the original Grand Theft Auto, CS 1.0 with his friends, Diablo II, Doom 3, the Final Fantasy games, Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat and WoW.

As the gaming industry evolved, so did my interests. I've played on platforms ranging from SNES/SEGA Saturn to N64, GameCube, PS2/3/4, Xbox, and more. Along the way, I built my first PC when I was ~11 around 2009 before the earliest versions of Minecraft Alpha were released way back in 2010.

One of my proudest gaming achievements was reaching Grandmaster on SC2 as Zerg when I was just 13. It was a thrilling experience that fueled my passion for competitive gaming.

I feel fortunate to have experienced games like Counter-Strike, Half-Life 2, Battlefield 2 and WoW during my formative years, as they have left a lasting impact on my gaming preferences. Nowadays, I'm deeply involved in coding and love working on projects related to web development, game dev in Unreal Engine 5 and Mac gaming-related things.

My journey into coding started with my desire to get into game development. I began by learning C++ to create simple command-line tools and small game prototypes. This early experience with C++ not only ignited my passion for programming but also laid the groundwork for my understanding of crucial concepts like memory management. Learning how to work with pointers, dynamic memory allocation, and managing resources in C++ provided me with a solid foundation in memory-related aspects of programming. These skills would later prove invaluable as I delved into other languages and technologies, allowing me to grasp memory considerations in various contexts. This initial encounter with C++ not only set the stage for my coding journey but also equipped me with a deeper appreciation for the intricacies of software development.

As my coding journey progressed, I discovered that the foundation I had built with C++ made it easier for me to learn other programming languages. When I ventured into JavaScript, I found that my foundational experience with C++ granted me a head start in comprehending programming logic and data manipulation. Although the memory management principles from C++ weren't directly applicable, the logical thinking and structured approach I cultivated aided me in navigating the subtleties of JavaScript. This adaptable knowledge allowed me to confidently explore the intricacies of a new language while leveraging my existing programming skills. Later, my interest in web development led me to delve deeper into JavaScript. I saw the potential of creating dynamic and interactive experiences on the web and wanted to transition my skills into something with broader career prospects. Learning the ins and outs of web technologies and frameworks has been an exciting journey, and I'm proud of how far I've come.

I'm not just passionate about coding and gaming; I'm also a tech enthusiast who loves staying on the cutting edge of technology. When it comes to gaming, I've tried and tested multiple top-of-the-line gaming mice, including the Logitech G PRO Wireless, G PRO X Superlight(GPX), Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro, Razer Viper V2 Pro, and the G502 Lightspeed. In the past, I've owned classics like the Logitech G9X, Razer DeathAdder 3.5k, the OG SteelSeries Rival, the original G303 and G Pro and lastly the legendary Zowie FK2. I was an early adopter of lightspeed wireless mice, appreciating their responsiveness that rivalled wired counterparts. As a tech enthusiast, I also jumped on the 280Hz monitor trend when it was among the highest refresh rates available, opting for the VG279QM model that surpassed the majority of its competitors which were 240hz delivering an incredibly smooth and fluid visual experience. As well as the classic 24" BenQ Zowie 144hz when the competitive gaming standard was only 120hz. Besides gaming gear, I'm a bit of an audiophile, indulging in high-quality audio experiences and revelling in pure audio bliss with my $530 in-ear monitors (IEMs) the MOONDROP Blessing 2. Recently, I've also delved into trackball mice, and currently, I own two models: the ELECOM HUGE and the Logitech M575. Exploring new tech and pushing the boundaries of what's possible is what keeps me excited about the world of technology.
